Retirement
Plan Services - Our Processes
At
Tegra, we believe that expertise, objectivity, and transparency
are critical components to good service – and good fiduciary
practices. Our philosophy of providing a "boutique" service
at a competitive price requires that we view each client and plan
as an individual.
Our
consulting services include plan feasibility analysis, plan design
recommendations, plan document preparation and on-going support,
assistance with Department of Labor or Internal Revenue Service
issues, fiduciary consulting, and ERISA compliance, to mention only
a few. Our business model requires that our consultants, administrators,
and actuaries be highly trained and proficient in the laws and regulations
governing retirement plans. Our staff routinely participates in
a number of retirement plan professional organizations, including
the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA)
including active participation in the ASPPA Government Affairs Committee.
This constant flow of information from a variety of sources ensures
that our clients receive the most up-to-date advice available.
Our
third-party administration (TPA) services are designed to simplify
the administration process for our clients. Each of our clients
is assigned to one primary and experienced administrator who will
be responsible for supporting their plans. This one-on-one relationship
ensures that our clients have easy access to someone who is familiar
with their company, their retirement plans, their goals, and their
needs.

Technical support regarding plan compliance issues
As
a TPA, we provide services to plans with a variety of investment
structures and platform providers. Whether the plan assets are Trustee-directed,
or participant directed using a third-party recordkeeping platform
(such as John Hancock, Nationwide Financial, ING, or Invesmart)
or Tegra’s open-architecture recordkeeping system, Tegra is
able to provide attentive service. Indeed, Tegra can even assist
Plan Sponsors with the administration of non-traditional investments
such as real estate, limited partnerships, private notes, or closely
held stock.
As
a recordkeeper, Tegra offers an open-architecture platform with
access to over 8,000 no-load, no-transaction fee mutual funds. Tegra
fully discloses 100% of the revenue sharing we may receive on client
assets, and we return all of that revenue to our clients. As a result,
we are able to offer our clients services at competitive and fully-disclosed
rates. With 24-hour account access, participants and plan sponsors
can easily review up-to-date information on their retirement plan
accounts at any time.
Our
actuarial services include full-service defined benefit plan administration
and consulting. Defined benefit plans can offer incredible benefits
to small business owners seeking to make large, annual tax-deferred
contributions and we have helped hundreds of employers design and
implement defined benefit plans that meet their goals. Our actuaries
provide all of the necessary on-going support to maintain a healthy
defined benefit program over time.
